You can choose between three different strike suits and start firing at enemy ships until you are destroyed. It’s an arcade-like experience where you feel powerful until the enemy becomes too heavy for you to handle.

What they came up with was aptly named BattleTech: a great RPG based on old MechWarrior games, front mission titles as well as tabletop games. What’s impressive about BattleTech is its scale.
Before each battle, you can choose which pilots and mechs you bring into battle, their loadouts, and which missions to undertake. A big part of the game is money – not only to pay for your pilots but to maintain and upgrade your mech. So a central aspect of the game is going on missions that are more dangerous, but also more rewarding.

Replacing ammo with weapon cooldowns keeps the pace fast and the mechs are capable of self-repair. And since it’s a free-to-play game, it won’t cost you a dime to dive into the violent world of Hawken.

Climb into the cockpit and establish a neural link to the Archangel. Take the advice of your AI co-pilot and get on the field. Use shields to protect yourself from enemy tanks and soldiers’ fire.
