I can safely say that Outlast made me jump out of my chair for four hours into Hell more times than any other sport. But amid a wealth of intimidation and beautiful environments, Outlast tends to sway through uninspired mission objectives and some disappointing design choices.

Right from the start, Outlast has been one of the best-looking and sounding survival horror games of all time. Everything from the dynamic lighting to the spectacular soundscape works together to give you the edge of every second of the experience. On both PC and PS4, I’m afraid to open any closed doors for fear of entering new territory or lurking in the dark unknown. Small details that are often forgotten in games, like leaving bloody footprints after stepping through a pool of blood, really help sell the illusion that Mount Massive is a real place.

I played this game for Nintendo 3DS and it’s quite good for a handheld port of a console game (though seeing as they ported the same game for the Wii with slightly rendered graphics not sure what that says about the Wii version). You won’t be jumping across rooftops on this version of the game though. Instead, this game focuses solely on driving.

The game has some interesting levels that include wrecking a certain amount of enemies on the Road and driving into the back of a speeding truck and making a jump into a moving train. You play as Matt, a former racing driver in debt. Matt meets my stereos woman who gets him into The Run, a cross-to-cross race from San Francisco to New York. The plot is good with some interesting twists.

The controls are pretty simple and easy to get the hang of. Sometimes you can also do Heroic Actions witch include swiping the touch screen in a certain direction during a limited time. Need For Speed ​​The Run for Nintendo 3ds is a good handheld port of an NFS game though not as good as its PS3, XBOX 360, and Pc counterparts. 6/10.
