best cartoons based on video games
This list of 9 video games based on cartoons will surely take you back to nostalgia as you would be those toon characters that you loved and laughed at during your school days!
1. Bad: Nicktoons Unite!
Nictons Unite! Or Sponge Bob SquarePants and Friends: Get One! In Europe, there is a crossover that had potential, but it does not live up to expectations. The representation of the characters is decent, but the gameplay is incredibly one-note.
Despite how mediocre the game is, the fact that the game will get three sequels puzzles us. Thankfully, it features the characters’ respective voice actors reprising their roles, but even that isn’t enough to make the game fun. For kids, this game is fine, but it’s not for everyone.
2. The Powerpuff Girls: Relish Rampage
Mojo Jojo was no good in this one again, and as always, The Powerpuff Girls had to step in and save the day with their devastating antics. This was another crazy story that’s hard to explain if you haven’t actually played the game.
In short, Mojo Jojo stole a van containing the ‘electoral vote’ in an attempt to sway the mayor’s election and open a large can of worms.
Apparently, the stolen van contained a special pickle, and Mojo’s stampede sent a ‘stolen pickle’ broadcast to a menacing group called the Picloids, leading to the Picloid Townsville invasion. It took me two weeks to beat this game
3. Jawbreakers
Set in the whimsical town of Peach Creek, Ed., Ed n Eddy: Jobbers! The story of three young boys, hungry for mouth-watering hard candy, known as the Jawbreaker.
Limited to the Gameboy Advance, only a few are able to experience the wondrous world contained in this game. The premise of the game requires three ad-boys to compete in a series of competitions in which the winner will receive a giant box of the elusive treats they crave.
Jam-packed with hilarious references to the series it’s based on, Jawbreakers! Emphasizes how a television series can and should be changed to convey a compelling story through a different format.
4. Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse
One of the most beloved and classic platform games of all time came back in 1990. Castle of Illusion features the world’s most famous cartoon mouse: Mickey Mouse.
The plot may be generic, but the game is a lot of fun to play. In Castle of Illusion, you get to play as Mickey Mouse as he goes on a quest to save Minnie Mouse from the dastardly witch Mizrabel. One thing is for sure; You will not be sad playing this entertaining game.
5. Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is the best use of the Transformers brand ever. As noted in our review, “The Fall of Cybertron is the Transformers toy fight you imagined as a kid, transferred to the TV before you.”
It’s almost surreal to see characters from classic 80s cartoons come to life. Each character plays out a little differently, and it’s quite different where it doesn’t look like you’re playing the same character, just changed again.
The experience is often cinematic with elaborate set pieces and visual spectacle. It has the heroism and villainy we all hoped for, but what really stands out is its ability to competently tell its story.
