The Best Android FPS Games

FPS games (first-person shooters) are among the most exciting game genres. This is one of the most popular styles ever. Additionally, a variety of high-priced games have come from it, including Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield, Destiny, and many more.

Believe it or not, there is actually a healthy supply of FPS games on Android that you can dig into. If you’ve got your trigger finger ready, here are the best FPS games on Android right now.

1. Standoff 2

Published by Axlebolt, Standoff 2 is an FPS game for Android and iOS. It has been downloaded over 5.9 million times on mobile devices. People can choose to play as a terrorist or an anti-terrorist. Team Death Match pits players against each other in a 5v5 game with a total duration of ten minutes per round.

Each game gives players about thirty seconds to warm up. Leveling up is hard, as winning a game only gives about 100 XP. However, this FPS game offers weapons like pistols, submachine guns, rifles and heavy weapons. Every game is highly competitive, and it is not uncommon to see squads that reach kill scores of a hundred per game.

2. Zombeast

Now, for something more atmospheric. Zombeast is a single-player zombie FPS where you are the sole survivor of an undead apocalypse, forced to fend off brain-eating enemies. It’s reminiscent of more recent zombie titles such as Dying Light, with ruthless melee weapons, devastating firepower, and a plethora of undead monsters hocking some to kill.

Each mission includes a day in this post-apocalyptic nightmare, where you must eliminate a certain quota of zombies before they can reach the sanctuary for the night. There’s also an infinite horde mode, where you can battle to see how long you’ll last in this brutal zombie armageddon.

3. DEAD EFFECT 2

Dead Effect 2 is a terrifying first-person shooter set in a dark, gritty, and somewhat terrifying nightmare. It also includes some RPG-lite mechanics (including character personalities), controller support, lots of weapon and implant upgrades for the chase, a long campaign with side missions, and more. This game is not for the faint of heart as you shoot or cut your enemies into bloody pieces.

As such, the discretion of the player is advised. That being said, Dead Effect 2 is a high quality game that looks great. And there’s even a katana! Unfortunately, there’s also some freemium crap, like grinding to upgrade your weapons. Still, it’s a fun shooter.

4. Hitman: Sniper

Moving away from multiplayer-focused games, we have Hitman: Sniper, the quintessential Hitman experience on mobile. This spin-off of the assassin console and PC series takes Agent 47 to mobile by focusing its mission on being just a sniper elite.

There are tons of missions, areas and customizations that you can enjoy as the game progresses as you try to narrow down your goals. As the name mentions, it only focuses on snipping, so you won’t have some staples of the chain.

 5. Dead Trigger

Unlike its sequel Dead Trigger 2, the original Dead Trigger game is an offline zombie shooter. You’ll find powerful weapons including the Colt 1911, Scorpion, Stryker, Enfield, and Minigun to take down zombies as soon as you see them. In addition, the game offers 13 character upgrades to keep the excitement going.

Although the game is not being actively developed these days, the current version is pretty stable and will keep you busy. If you’ve always wanted to kill zombies, you should definitely check out Dead Trigger, and trust me, you won’t regret it.

6.Modern Combat 4

Modern Combat 4 is one of the most popular first-person shooter games on smartphones in the past decade. It is known for its intense action and intriguing storyline, and it offers an experience unlike any other. In this game, you will play the role of both a military and a criminal.

When the President is kidnapped, it’s up to you and your team to find and rescue him. Join on multiple levels, each of which offers a unique experience. To clear your way, use different weapons, jump into a vehicle and shoot opponents.

7. Critical Ops: Multiplayer FPS

Critical Ops is another first-person shooter designed with the competitive experience in mind. There are three major game modes – Diffuse, Team Deathmatch and Gun Game. There are also ranked games, where players compete for higher ranks in the Diffuse game-mode.

Custom lobbies are also available for hosting private rooms with friends. Another great feature of this game is that the developers treat the in-game purchases as ‘purely cosmetic’, so you can expect fair gameplay throughout the multiplayer experience.
