5 tips to increase K/D and win ratios in Garena Free Fire
Headphones are important when playing multiplayer games, they give you special awareness in a way your phone speakers can’t. This is especially true for Garena Free Fire because unlike Call of Duty: Mobile’s PUBG Mobile, the map doesn’t actually show you the footsteps of nearby enemies, so you can rely on sound to really know. Where are your enemies?
Standing Perfectly Still
Free Fire doesn’t actually have a ‘bullet drop’. For those who may not be familiar with the term, bullet drop is the distance that a bullet falls after being fired from a weapon. The greater the distance, the greater the fall. However, there is no bullet drop in Garena Free Fire. As such, it is very easy to get a headshot provided you have the right scope. This also means that you will either have to stay in cover or move around constantly, lest you fall victim to a well-placed headshot.
Forgetting To Reload
This would probably be the most foolproof way to die in any game. The last thing you want in any game is for an enemy to attack and then start reloading because you forgot to reload earlier. Find a good safe place and make sure all your weapons are reloaded. Keep in mind that you may pick up extended magazines along the way.
So make sure you reload all weapons, even if you haven’t used them. There is a bar under each weapon that gives a visual representation of how empty a clip is. Make sure it is always full.
Rushing Blindly
Loot is a very attractive prospect in Free Fire. Sometimes the idea of better weapons and gear is enough for people to blindly run away without a second thought. Don’t be one of those people. Double check to make sure the coast is clear before heading out into the open to find downed enemies, loot drops or even loot buildings.
Always Driving
Driving in the game only makes sense if you are far away from the circle, or if you need to run to a specific location. Plus, a vehicle just yells to everyone where you are. Which allowed them to ambush. Do yourself a favor and leave that ride as soon as possible.
Beginner tips:
As you progress through the game, you unlock different characters that you can choose from to play. Each of these characters comes with a special ability that can give you an edge in battle. All you have to do is choose the type of gameplay you like and choose a character accordingly.
Use The Minimap To Your Advantage
The minimap shows any nearby players who are shooting. It must be on you, or on another player. However, the map will show you not only the location of enemy players, but also the direction in which they are shooting. This means you can actually attack another player behind an opponent and take them out.
Your Reticle Is Your Friend
One unique aspect of Garena Free Fire is that your reticle changes color when an enemy is in the crosshairs. This means you can use it to ‘scan’ areas where you think the enemy might be. If it changes color, the enemy is in your sight. You can then fire and get a few hits on the enemy.
Burst Fire To Success
While there has been recoil in the game, this is not reflected at all when firing weapons. So when you fire your gun, your reticle doesn’t bounce around like it does in games like PUBG Mobile, even when you’re looking at the spaces below. This means that you should be able to track down your enemies without any difficulty. As such, you only need to fire in bursts to ensure good hits.
Use Objects For Cover
It’s pretty common for people playing PUBG Mobile to immediately go prone the moment someone is firing at them. That’s not gonna work in Garena Free Fire as there is hardly any grass fo you to hide in. So you’re better off dashing from cover-to-cover. This could be between buildings and trees on the way to the circle and possible victory.
Know When To Fire
Like any other battle royale game, it is very important to realize that it is not just about getting the most number of kills. It is about existence. So it’s perfectly fine to sit in a corner and wait till the end. If you must shoot, make sure it is either in self-defense, or is guaranteed to kill you. As we said earlier, the minimap will reveal not only your position but also your orientation. Remember, you can kill 48 people on the map and still lose because the other guy only needs one kill.
Advance guide:
Garena Free Fire may look pretty much the same as any other battle royale game like PUBG Mobile or Call of Duty: Mobile, but it plays by its own set of rules that make it stand out from the battle royale crowd. For starters. The game ‘only’ supports 50 players, which leads to a faster game. On top of that, the physics of the game also vary greatly. This means that if you’re used to playing other battle royale games, you’ll have to learn completely new tricks.
However, if you’ve been playing for a while but aren’t winning as much as you used to, this advanced strategy guide may be just what the doctor ordered. Maybe you already know about some of these tips. However, if you find a win-win strategy, we consider our work a success.
So without further ado, here are some advanced tips that can help you win!
Customise Sensitivity
As you play the game, you may want to customize the sensitivity of your controls to your liking. The game gives you the option to lower the sensitivity in each scope, so you can fine-tune and adjust it to your liking. This is especially handy if you’re a sniper and will be looking at the scope less for most of the game.
Consider Dropping Into The Blue Zone
The Blue Zone is marked at the beginning of the map and is an area with a very high level of loot. Jumping into the zone is a high-risk, high-reward situation. If it’s towards the end of the plane’s path consider jumping towards it. If it’s close to the start, there’s a high chance that a lot of players will give it a shot. Also, if there are plenty of vantage points near the Blue Zone, consider dropping off there and picking up anyone coming from the zone. Then you could just rob it from them. Note, however, that anyone coming from the zone will have some top-tier firepower, so be careful.
Carry Gloo Wall Grenades
Unlike games like PUBG Mobile, Garena Free Fire doesn’t actually give you the option of being prone and hiding in the grass. As such, your best bet is to move from cover to cover. However, in the instance that you’re stuck somewhere in the middle, get yourself some immediate cover in the form of a Glue Wall, a nearly indestructible wall that will allow you to keep an eye on your enemy and heal yourself. Once your health is back to 100%, you can plan your counter-attack.
Think Twice Before Rushing Loot Drops
Loot drops are probably one of the most fascinating things in the game. However, think twice before rushing either one. First, take a look at the surrounding area and keep your environment in mind. Enemies can camp in nearby buildings to attack players. So consider keeping an eye on them. If you’ve got Glue Wall Grenades, consider using them as cover when looting the loot drop.
Know Your Weapons
If only it would be easier for me to list the top weapons in the game. However, instead, I would suggest that you find the weapons you are most comfortable with and use them. The only way to do this is to keep playing more. If you feel more comfortable with SMGs and shotguns, go ahead and use them. The last thing you want is to be stuck in a 1v1 situation with weapons you’re not sure about.
So that’s all. These little tips will help you up your game a little more and get you a little closer to achieving BOYAH!
