Best PC exclusive games of all time

PlayStation has a number of iconic first-party games that are exclusive to its consoles such as the PS3, PS4, and PS5. In recent years, Sony has begun porting some of its PlayStation-exclusive games to PC, allowing non-PlayStation players to try them out. Established PlayStation franchises like God of War, Persona and Nioh now have some games available on PC.

PC games have always provided an accessible platform to almost everyone. The easy immersion in the market has allowed experimentation and fanatical developers to thrive fully in this environment. This has given rise to thousands of titles available exclusively to the PC gaming community and boy are these some of the rare games.

1. Frost pink

The premise of the game is city building and survival, but unlike other games of its kind, Frostpunk tends to progress from an inspirational activity to one based on sacrifice and suffering quite inadequately.

It’s hard to describe what exactly makes the game a different ballgame all together, but once you play it, it’s pretty clear that you’re largely down for something completely different.

The developer has a penchant for morally ambiguous games and this couldn’t be more evident in Frostpunk which is quite dark and morbid at times. Though all things considered, this is definitely something you should try out at least once.

2. Divinity OS II

If I could describe Divinity Original Sin 2 in 10 words or less it would be ‘the best incarnation of the RPG genre I’ve ever enjoyed watching’. Well that was more words than expected, and that’s exactly what you’ll have in mind while playing this game because it’s just that: More.

The writing is incredible and feels alive, you couldn’t see the fillers if you went looking for something, the characters are consistently detailed and most importantly, every decision you make is intelligently translated and you can see How you are influencing the story and the pattern.

This is most definitely a game you should play. The huge cult following is there for a reason and the game is quite breathtaking in its detailed presentation and painstaking mechanics.

3. Fortnite (2017)

The undisputed king of battle royale, Fortnite has dominated the genre since its release. It has outperformed other contemporaries in the genre, and is in a dominant position as the most played and streamed game of all time.

Fortnite is a great game to play online with friends or with strangers, and can be played on any platform. Fortnite just keeps getting better with time, with plenty of exciting content from developers from time to time.

Because it doesn’t require a particularly high-end PC gaming setup to run smoothly, you can pick up Fortnite for free on the Epic Games Store and start playing right away.

4. Over watch

Overwatch is one of the biggest games in competitive gaming, and rightly so. Blizzard’s success didn’t stop at DoTA. Overwatch is one of the biggest games in eSports, and has remained relevant over the years.

One of the best parts of Overwatch is that it doesn’t require a crazy PC setup to run- a decent setup with 4GB of RAM is enough to run this masterpiece.

The game is exciting, tactical and great fun to play. If you still haven’t got a chance to play this classic online shooter, grab a copy and start shooting.

5. Elden Ring

Since its early days, “grow up” has been the driving force behind the development of the open world genre. Shortly after a big new open-world game is announced, people rush to find out just how big the map is and how much there is to do.

It’s natural to grow like this, but at times it seems that open world designers have become so obsessed with growing up that they forget where the whole thing started. As quantity has slowly turned into quality in the minds of some, the process of exploring an open world is too often best left to dedicated perfectionists.

That’s the amazing thing about the Elden Ring. It is by no means one of the bigger open-world games ever in terms of its wealth of content and the rare modern open-world title that made the genre so special in the first place.
