While there are many ways to make money in GTA Online, some businesses are more profitable than others. There are some businesses that are cheap to buy but do not pay well, while others require a considerable amount of investment to start but soon end up paying for themselves.
1. Vehicle Import/Export Warehouse
If you are in your own cars then the import/export warehouse will be your kind of jam. You’ll need to get yourself a vehicle warehouse to start, but once you do you’ll be able to start missions via your laptop. It’s all about the sourcing and delivery of cars, as you see in the main game.
It is a very simple business and easy to run. The mission consists of a police chase, after collecting cars from people who might not want them anymore. Or at least that’s what we tell ourselves! Make sure to practice your aim while on the go for these missions, as there are very fast moving objects to shoot.
2. Casino Heists – Arcade
The arcade can either be run as a passive income, or can be used for missions that bring a good score when completed.
It will regularly bring you $50,000 when you choose to use it passively, which isn’t too bad. However, if you want to set up a robbery properly to bring in some real flour you can get between $2 million and $3.6 million each time a robbery is completed.
It’s also a good investment if you’re bored of running your “enterprise” from multiple locations, as you can buy a master terminal for $1.4 million so you can plan everything from one place.
3. Agency Safe
Agency is the latest business added to GTA Online. It allows players to complete VIP contracts, security contracts and Payphone hits. The main money generator in the agency is a special vault that automatically generates funds based on the number of security contracts you have completed.
For each 5th security contract completed, Vault production increases to $500. It can generate a maximum of $20,000/in-game in a day and hold $250k at a time. Players must complete 86 missions to maximize production. While this may seem like a huge number, there are small missions that only take 5 minutes to complete.
4. RUNE Zhaba
The RUNE Zhaba is an armored, off-road vehicle that handles rough terrain extremely well. It has great protection against sticky bombs and grenades.

Jhaba also has amphibious abilities, allowing it to cross water. Top speed and acceleration are low, making it slower than the APC and other boats. Turning is fine and braking is also good.
5. Agency
Coming to fourth place, we have new agency property! This is the most recently released business to come to GTA Online. Although the missions available may not change the way you play the game, they are still enjoyable to do. There are also many advantages to owning an agency that other businesses don’t come with.
First, is Dr. Dre’s contract. It is a story-based series of missions that lead players to musical artist Dr. Tracks down Dre’s missing phone. Upon completion of this campaign, you will receive over $1,000,000! Don’t worry if it doesn’t seem like much, there are other ways to make money.
