black anime characters male names
Anime is a Japanese genre and although the characters rarely look like real Japanese people, they are mostly Caucasian. Nevertheless, many anime have featured, and in a major role, characters who have different skin colors, including black characters.
Black anime characters are not common in anime, but are somewhat relevant in the history of the genre. This list is going to include the 10 best black anime characters of all time. Some of them are heroes, some are heroes, and some are villains, but whatever their affiliation, they are awesome and we’re going to tell you a little bit about them.
1. Bob Makihara
Bob Makihara is a young man from South Africa, so most people on the show refer to him as a “stranger”. Despite his heritage, Bob is depicted with blue eyes and a Japanese-sounding surname (his surname may have been Afrikaans).
He’s known for his tall scares and muscle-building (in fact, he’s one of the show’s strongest characters physically). Little is known about his past, except that his father was a first lieutenant in the United States. Navy and he met Souichiro Nagi in his second year of primary school and called himself Knuckle Bomb.
His girlfriend’s name is Chiaki Konoike and they seem to be really in love. Souichiro is his best friend and he also respects Masataka Takayanagi.
2. Darui
Darui is Kumogakure’s shinobi and the right hand of the Fourth Raikage, whom he later succeeds as the fifth Raikage. Darui was once a student of the Third Raikage.
During his apprenticeship, Darui learned, among other things, the unique Black Rye technique of the Raikage. With Si, he also served as a support for the Third Raikage.
Darui is a highly skilled and capable shinobi: he was chosen as the bodyguards and right-hand man of the Fourth Rackage, and as the leader of the Allied Shinobi Forces First Division during the Fourth Shinobi World War.
His skills eventually enabled him to almost single-handedly defeat the Gold and Silver Brothers, who used the valuable equipment of Sage of the Six Ways. Years later, Darui acquired a great skill that enabled him to become the fifth Raikage.
3. Mohammad AVDOL from JOJO’s BIZARRE
Avdol is a very powerful stand user of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Throughout the series, he has shown what a true comrade is like. Always helping his friends to make sure they live to the fullest, Avadol will even sacrifice his life for his friends.
Also, being a black man is, well, not quite, but when we take a look at his complexion, he might be on our list because of the amount of effort put into anime. Avadol is healthy and funny at the same time. But don’t get me wrong, he has the power of a phoenix. So, the next time you mess with him, be sure to call fire safety because Avadol comes in hot and raw.
4. Bob Makihara From Tenjou Tenge
If you haven’t seen Tenzhou Tange, you’re missing out on a lot. A teenager who hails from Africa, this guy definitely looks like Bob Marley and now I know where the inspiration came from. quite obvious? At first he paired up with the main character and thought it would be difficult to fight enemies at school, only to learn it wasn’t even a problem.
In the series, Bob is seen as very calm, powerful and loyal. After some time in school, people began to recognize Bob’s potential, making him one of the strongest characters in the series. We all love Bob.
5. Casca From Berserk
Casa is one of the earliest black characters in any series. The anime is old, and the Fearless series portrays him as one of the most important and strongest leaders in the mercenary group. She is the leader of the Band of Falcons, and strangely enough, I don’t see a lot of people talking about Casa.
His character took a long time to develop but he is one of my favorite black characters in anime of all time. But the most amazing thing about Casa is that she is an amazing leader. Along with being strong, she never hates her peers and never puts them down for being weak.
