ideas for buildings in minecraft 2022
Looking for Minecraft ideas to inspire your next building venture? Minecraft gives players a sandbox to build almost anything, although it can be difficult to feel inspired when roaming empty biomes.
If you need a reminder about some of the incredible things that can be made, we’ve put together a number of interesting ideas that you can use on your own Minecraft server. If you’re not sure how to set it up, take a look at our minecraft hosting guide and start building with your friends.
Best Minecraft Building Ideas
Now there are two main modes through which players can play the game and create amazing structures in their world.
The first of these is building ideas for survival mode, in which you’ll have to battle all kinds of hostile monsters, a hunger meter, and a health bar. Gathering resources requires you to craft some of the more intense creations, you’ll have to explore and spend hours, if not days, of mining, smelting, and lumbering, among other similar activities.
Some of the buffs outlined in our Best Ax Enchantment guide can help speed up the collecting process, but there’s a limit to how fast you can move.
Survival Mode is more suitable for small Minecraft building ideas. This doesn’t approach for huge creations, which can take up thousands of individual blocks, though I’ll admit that the satisfaction you get here isn’t quite the same as what you find in other mods.
#1. Cliffside House
Building a house from scratch can be a daunting task, especially if you want to make more than a simple room with space for a bed and some workspace. And sometimes you don’t want to go through the effort of collecting wood for construction and making stone blocks. So why not make a place for yourself by the side of the cliff.
And yes, it really is that simple. All you have to do is grab an ax, and start hollowing out any hill that seems big enough for you to build. You don’t need to collect any additional resources this way, and whatever you want will be supplied by the natural structure itself.
For example, let’s say that while making room for yourself, you find some blocks of dirt or you accidentally remove some stone blocks. In that case, you can simply throw the cobblestone you collected while mining, and then turn it into stone to use for repairs.
#2. A Tree House
Find a jungle biome. and build. it’s that easy. Get creative when it comes to stairs, pathways, and more. Soon your little treehouse will become a tree village.
Treehouse Theme Challenge: Give your treehouse village a raion-d’etre. Why did your residents climb trees? It may be that the ground is flooded due to global warming, or dangerous crowds are roaming the ground below. Design and build your treehouse to deal with any disasters your Minecraft world may face.
#3. Black and White Lighthouse
You’ve built your house, your mine, and you already have a farm, but you might be looking for something else to bring your Minecraft world to life. There are tons of ideas you can go with, but have you considered a lighthouse for your coast to add some realism?
Here we have a great lighthouse design that uses easy-to-assemble materials such as black and white wool, wood and concrete. And of course, at night you can see the bright yellow light all over the world.
#4. Small Castle
Who doesn’t want to live in a palace? You can be the king (or queen) of your Minecraft kingdom with this castle building. It even has fields and a magic room, so it’s not just about looks!
You’ve got everything you need to sustain yourself on the local land.
With a moat to keep out angry mobs at night, you’ll be building this building in no time using the One Team tutorial.
#5. Apple Computer
Computer Inception in Minecraft is what it’s all about lol because you’re probably playing on your computer. This is one of those posts we’ve shared that lost video tutorials and schematic files over the years, but what we’re doing in this listing is just bringing you ideas, not everything to be too easy needed.
Here you’ll find the items you’ll need to build an Apple computer in Minecraft and then it’s up to your imagination how to put it together.
#6. Schools
Just like the hospital mentioned earlier, having separate schools for different levels of education is incredibly important for players who want to add a little depth and realism to their cities.
The buildings serve no practical purpose for existence, except perhaps to put Minecraft’s nitwit villagers in an ironic twist of fate.
#7. Firehouse
A firehouse is another stable building that can be in any given city, logically at least one, up to several depending on the size of the city. While there is no logical reason for a city to have a firehouse in Minecraft, they are simply a building that would add to the realism and logic of the city.
The building will also give players the chance to use bricks, which are an incredibly difficult block to use in most locations, but are perfect for a firehouse.
Additionally, it will give players the opportunity to practice building difficult builds, including fire engines, which will likely prove difficult to translate with blocks.
