Frogs

As part of the newly modified Swamps, Frogs is a passive mob that is coming to Minecraft 1.19 in three variants. Depending on their spawning location, there can be three types of frogs – default, cold or tropical. Like in real life, Minecraft frogs can jump really high, swim fast and hunt small mobs.

You can find frogs sitting in swamps and mangrove swamps along the edges of land as well as on lily pads and drip leaves. In terms of food, their food consists of small magma cubes and small slime cubes. And if a frog eats a magma cube, it drops the frog’s light, which is a colored block that emits light. Meanwhile, slime cubes are food that the player can use to make frogs mates.

Fireflies

As you can guess, Firefly is the smallest mob in Minecraft 1.19. Contrary to earlier speculation, they do not interact with frogs. Therefore, their appearance seems to be based more on aesthetic purposes.

You can find the glowing firefly only in swamp biomes, and that too mostly during the night time. Compared to other new mobs in Minecraft 1.19, fireflies are not the most popular addition. Still, his presence is going to make the in-game nights more alive.

Zombies

Another classic mob is the regular zombies. These are the most basic hostile mobs that usually chase players down and attack with their hands. They were also added to the game version similar to the Creepers. Whenever a player enters the world for the first time, they will most likely encounter a zombie during their first night in the game.

Like creepers, zombies also went through some changes. Various forms of hostile mobs were created, and the detection range of the mob was also increased.

Pigs

The first non-hostile mob that was introduced into the game was the Pig. These creatures were initially teased by the game’s creator, Notch, in August of 2009. Later, they were combined with Creepers, Zombies and Skeletons in the same aforementioned test version.

Pigs were the first mobs conceptualized by Notch. He also showed a strange failsafe model of a pig without arms, and its body was straight. This failed model of the pig was later used to make creepers.

Allay

At the top of our list with Minecraft Update 1.19 mobs is Allay, the winner from the Minecraft Live 2021 voting. He has a natural health regeneration of 2 hearts per second and a total of 20 hearts.

You’ll find these cute fairly similar creatures roaming in cages next to cage posts and inside the prison cells of Woodland Mansion, which means you’ll need to be fully prepared to face the Pillars first.

They resemble waxes bred by Evokers, but unlike these unscrupulous creatures, Elle is a passive mob. Its playful animations and dazzling aspect are easy to spot!
