Judging by the mechanical features in Legends, the free-control camera should return to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. While players could freely use the camera in the wild area of Pokémon Sword and Shield, it wasn’t until Pokémon Legends: Arceus that they could control the camera anywhere.
