During the excavation of an ancient Chinese temple, which accidentally results in the resurrection of the infamous Mandarin, Tony’s best friend James “Roddy” Rhodes is kidnapped by jade dragons and taken captive in China.
When Tony arrives, he is mortally wounded and can barely escape Roddy’s military medical background. Tony must use his brilliant intelligence to create a suit of armor not only to escape captivity but to take down the Mandarin and his operatives, the Elements.
The animated film is packed with great action sequences, stylish animations and powerful voice acting. While the changes to the Iron Man mythos may not sit well with purists, it remains faithful to what makes Tony Stark such a compelling character, namely how his ego clashes with his desire to be a true hero.
3. Spider-Man
The early 1990s was the golden age for superhero cartoon shows, and it was nowhere better seen than in Spider-Man, the animation series launched in 1994 and produced by Marvel Films Animation and Tokyo Movie Shinsha.

Spider-Man follows Peter Parker, a college student who is bitten by a radioactive spider and becomes a superhero, leaving his life in turmoil. Like the animated X-Men series, Spider-Man tells a mix of original stories and stories adapted from comics.
It includes arcs featuring some of Spider-Man’s most famous enemies, including Venom, Doctor Octopus, and the Green Goblin. Other Marvel heroes also make cameo appearances, from the expected ones like Captain America and Daredevil to extremely unexpected ones like Doctor Strange, Blade, and even The Punisher.

The film was directed by Kurt Geda, written by Greg Johnson, and produced by Avi Arad. The film features the voices of Justin Gross, Olivia D’Abo, Alan Tudyk and Gray Delisle, and follows a team of superheroes as they defend Earth against an alien invasion.
Ultimate Avengers received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its story and animation style. It was a box office success, grossing over $68 million worldwide. A sequel titled Ultimate Avengers 2 was released on February 5, 2006.
5. Wolverine And The X-Men
This Marvel animated series didn’t last long but was really cool to watch. The series is set a year after an explosion that destroyed Professor X’s school and disbanded the X-Men team.

This animated series follows Wolverine as he attempts to bring the X-Men team back together amid further mutant prejudices. The series was a fascinating look at the tragically broken X-Men team, as well as Wolverine, who was to step into the role of leader.
Steve Blum has voiced the character. The series had a lot of twists and amazing character moments. Sadly, the 2009 purchase of Marvel Studios by Disney caused financial problems with Marvel’s financing partner, which ultimately led to the cancellation of Wolverine and The X-Men series.
