Where to find diamonds in Minecraft 1.19

K

Even in Minecraft 1.19 diamonds are one of the most sought after items.  Both veterans as well as new players are always happy to have these precious minerals.  These resources are used to craft some of the best weapons, equipment, and armor in the game.

Clearly, these items are rare and can be found either in underground mining or as chest loot in various structures.  When mining for them in the latest version, players must be extremely careful as they do so due to the new Deep Dark Cave biome and the terrifying Warden.

As part of the Caves & Cliffs Part 2 update, Mojang significantly changed the game's ore production and world generation mechanics.  The base layer, which was previously at Y level 0, was moved to Y level -64, leaving a significant amount of space for more blocks and caves to be generated.

There are loads of naturally occurring structures in all three dimensions that players can explore.  These formations will generate chests, sometimes containing some of the game's most precious items, including diamonds.
