Red Dead Redemption 2 tips and tricks ps4

Multiple Blue Rings

Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the biggest open world games ever.  From story missions to sidequests, from hunting animals to robbing banks, there's a lot to do in the game.  And that means Red Dead Redemption 2 can feel overwhelming at times.

There are a few basic things you need to learn to enjoy Red Dead Redemption 2.  And they should help you succeed in playing the game without even dying.  So, here are some essential Red Dead Redemption 2 tips that all players should know...

 Take Note of Your Surroundings

This may seem obvious to some people, but it is worth noting.  Don't just focus on your destination or path.  Instead, scan the horizon for places to see and people to meet

Always Set Destinations on Your Map

The map in Red Dead Redemption 2 is huge.  So vast, in fact, that a faster travel option becomes available in Chapter 2 by upgrading Arthur's residences.

Keep an Eye On Your Cores

Your character and horse in Red Dead Redemption 2 have cores that need to be maintained.  Your character has cores for health, stamina and dead eyes, while your horse has cores for health and stamina.

 Pay Your Bounties Off ASAP

You will earn a reward for each crime you commit (even by accident).  This will be specific to the region in which you have committed the crime, making it difficult to travel there in the future.

 Bond With Your Horse

Horses are important in this sport.  Without one you'll struggle to get anywhere or do anything.  This is why it is important to bond with your horse as much as possible.

 Greet Everyone You Meet

Red Dead Redemption 2 uses an honor system.  Do good deeds (like helping strangers) and your prestige will increase.  Do bad things (like killing people camping in the woods) and you will lose respect.

Do Talk to Strangers

As kids we were taught not to talk to strangers, but in the case of Red Dead Redemption 2 you definitely should.  Even random NPCs can give useful or interesting information.

 Use Dead Eye Whenever Possible

You need to work with your gun to survive in Red Dead Redemption 2.  You can fire from the hip or aim with a single shot hoping to kill someone.
