PUBG: Battlegrounds New Map Deston Teased: To Bring New Vehicles, More

PUBG Battlegrounds is set to receive a new map later this year, as shown in the new trailer for Update 18.2.  The map is called "Deston" and will include exciting new elements like skyscrapers and swamplands

The teaser released ahead of the trailer looks like various locations like swamps, skyscrapers and new vehicles.

PUBG Battlegrounds recently entered a new phase as it went free-to-play, bringing a whole new set of features to the game.  With the benefits of a large audience comes the pressure of maintaining the interest of said audience with regular content

The addition of skyscrapers to PUBG Battlegrounds will be a great change of pace for the game's veterans.  This is the first time that the game is experimenting with vertical and tall structures.

Impact will likely be varied in combat and traversal as players will have more to work with in terms of movement and placement during combat.

It will be interesting to see if the devs decide to change things up in the new map and offer players new ways to interact with the game world.  While the game was instrumental in introducing the battle royale genre

Compared to its contemporaries like Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Warzone, it's been suffering lately.

The game continues to improve over time with quality updates and content dropping - but it appears the game is in need of a major overhaul.
