Defending Premier League champions Manchester City beat Mexican side Club America 2-1 in their opening pre-season match in Houston, Texas, but this summer's star signed Erling Haaland.

Haaland was expected to make his much-anticipated debut at the NRG Stadium, but was placed on the bench, with cameras showing him sitting behind center back Ruben Dias, who was not part of the team on match day.
