Man United vs Crystal Palace

Manchester United produced their most impressive performance of the pre-season on Tuesday with a 3-1 loss to Crystal Palace at the MCG in Melbourne, Australia.

The attacking trio of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho all came on the scoresheet, as Eric Ten Haig's side were thrilled to advance, though looking shaky defensively.

Martial - whose career at United looked in doubt after being loaned to Sevilla last season - opened the scoring with a fine finish following a delightful cross from Diego Dalot.

Despite Palace creating a few half chances at the break, United dominated the half but did not score a second goal until after the break.

United scored an amazing team goal that saw Rashford side-foot into an empty net after Donny van de Beek, Marshall and Sancho completely cut the Palace defense.

Only 10 minutes later, it was three, as Martial played Sancho through on goal, with the goalkeeper being medically eliminated after dummy.

After the teams replaced most of the players on the field, Palace became more involved in the game, with Joel Ward leading a consolation goal for Patrick Vieira's team, while defender Will Fish was sent off to United as of late.

Marshall, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho scored against under-strength Palace, who consoled through Joel Ward to maintain the Eric Ten Haig perfect precision record.

But the Dutchman had to bear heavy blows for most of the first half for his captain, Maguire, and also saw 19-year-old defender Will Fisch, who was only on the pitch for 20 minutes after coming into the second half.  Substituted, sent.
