Green Star

How to Beat Cliff in Pokemon GO: July 2022

Green Star

Cliff will always start with a Pokemon, and then choose your second and third from the pool of species available.

Green Star

Most trainers can easily choose this adorable orphan from the lineup. The Cubone is a ground-type and a pre-developed form of the Marovak. It is particularly vulnerable because of this and is easily dealt with.

First Pokemon: Cubone

Green Star

– Kyogre (Waterfall + Surf) – Kingler (Bubble + Crabhammer) – Roserade (Razor Leaf + Solar Beam) – Abomasnow (Powder Snow + Avalanche)

Green Star

Thanks to Electiwire and Luxray sharing one type, this level of planning is a little easier than the next one. These are both Electric-type Pokémon, while Omastar is weird as Water and Rock-type.

Second Pokemon: Electivire, Luxray, Omastar

Green Star

– Groudon (Mud Shot + Earthquake) – Excadrill (Mud Slap + Drill Run) – Garchomp (Mud Shot + Earthquake) – Rhyperior (Mud Slap + Earthquake)

The best counters for Electivire and Luxray are:

Green Star

– Roserade (Razor Leaf + Solar Beam) – Zarude (Vine Whip + Power Whip) – Tangrowth (Vine Whip + Power Whip)

Meanwhile, Omastar's best counters are:

Green Star

This is the most challenging part of planning. Once again, Swampart and Tyranitar share a sort of weakness, the Grass-type, but they don't share it with the same severity.

Third Pokemon: Swampert, Charizard, Tyranitar

Green Star

Since grass types are optimal in the first round and can be carried over into the second round, we will only address Charizard's counter alternatives here:

Green Star

– Rampardos (Smack Down + Rock Slide) – Regirock (Rock Throw + Stone Edge) – Rhyperior (Smack Down + Rock Wrecker) – Tyranitar (Smack Down + Stone Edge)
