Elden Ring system requirements ps4

Multiple Blue Rings

Now that Bandai Namco has revealed the official PC requirements of Elden Ring, we can confirm that having one of the best gaming PCs will help.

The Alden Ring's minimum PC requirements aren't overly demanding in the CPU and GPU departments, though it does require quite a bit of RAM.  You'll definitely need a very recent machine if you want to run games at the recommended settings.

At a minimum, you'll need an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X processor, 12 GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, 3 GB or AMD Radeon RX 480, 4 GB.

Both CPU and GPU are a few years old, but they are still relatively powerful devices.  And even today, not every gaming PC or laptop comes with 12GB of RAM;  Some budget systems only have 8 GB.

Alden Ring on Windows PC will run at a maximum resolution of up to 3840x2160P (4K) with a hard-locked framerate of 60 fps.  The game will also come with support for HDR at launch and ray tracing via patch.

PlayStation (PS4, PS4 Pro, PS5)  The PlayStation 4 will support a maximum resolution of 1080P with the framerate locked to 30 FPS, while on the Pro version it will run 3200x1800P at 30FPS.

On PlayStation 5, you'll get 4K support at 60 FPS along with ray tracing via the update.  All PS versions will also come with HDR support by default.

Additionally, Bandai Namco said that the PS4 installs files and data can be ported to the next generation PS5.  However, it won't work the other way round.  "If you port your PS4 games to PS5 and continue playing, your saved files cannot be transferred back to PS4."

Xbox (One, One X, Series S, Series X)  Lastly, on Xbox One and One S, the game will run at 1600x900P 30FPS with no support for HDR.  However, the improved One X will run at 4K max resolution at 30 fps, with support for HDR.
