As orange is considered charismatic, they say that purple is the color of evil. I say it’s complete bull, it’s just a beautiful shade and some of the best anime characters with fabulous purple hair are here to prove it.
You’ll find something wicked in this bunch, but I’m pretty sure it’s just because they’re a little cuckoo in the head and their hair has nothing to do with why they turned out like that. And to be honest, wicked or not, they’re still awesome.
1. Yuri Nakamura
Angel Beats is about Otonashi, a boy who awakens in another realm with no memory of who he is apart from his own name. He meets Yuri, who informs him that he is dead and is now in the afterlife. Yuri also invites her to join his Afterlife Battlefront.
Shinda Sekai Sensen, where she is trying to take down the enemy, Tenshi. However, Otonashi does not see him as a threat and is more interested in Tenshi than ever before. Yuri is a naturally born leader. He is determined, quick on his feet, intelligent and reliable. He also enjoys a lot of respect from his peers.
2. Soul Eater
Blair is a cat with the ability to assume a more human form, causing her to be mistaken for a witch. In this look, he has purple hair that curls around him like a cat’s tail.
In her feline form, she appears as a black cat, possibly due to the association of black cats with witches. Her black fur appears to translate into her black witch’s dress instead of her hair. That said, sometimes her cat appearance is dark purple.
3. Asuramaru
Let’s discuss the next character from shonen anime. Ashera Tepes, aka Asuramaru, is a high-ranking demon. He is one of the main characters of the popular series.
He appears to be a bisexual teenage male. As a demon, Asuramaru specializes in possession types. His sword gives him immense power. In addition he can create he can also haunt a host’s dreams and make them have nightmares.
4. Faye Valentine
Faye is an iconic character from an iconic anime, and it’s hard to mistake this purple-haired beauty for anyone else. With a brash personality backed by hedonistic habits, Faye is just as likely to flirt with you as she is to shoot you.
After spending 54 years cryogenically frozen, Faye was revived and eventually joined Bebop. Despite being alone for long periods of time, she comes to enjoy and take care of her companions, even though those feelings may initially frighten her.
5. Neptune
Neptune, known as the “Purple Heart”, is a goddess in the anime with two different forms – Hyperdimension Neptunia. Out of this complete list of purple haired anime girls, Neptune is by far the funniest and most hilarious.
Neptune is laid back, care-free, sarcastic, energetic (when he wants to be), and smart. This is why others underestimate or doubt him. But the funny thing is that when he can be harassed he is more than capable.
