Why Few Devices Support 90 FPS in BGMI
Most of the mobiles have 90Hz refresh rate display but only a few of them will give you the option of 90 FPS in games like BGMI, PubG mobile and other games.
Processor: A processor with high FPS is very important for smooth gameplay. For 90 fps games, BGMI requires at least 855+ and 865 Snapdragon processors. Only the 855+ and 865 Snapdragon and higher processors allow BGMI to run at 90 fps.
Display: If your mobile has more processors but the display refresh rate is less then your mobile will not support 90 fps. So Display refresh rate is at least 90Hz or 90FPS required for games like BGMI.
If your smartphone has these two features then it allows you to play 90fps BGMI.
iPhone will support 90 FPS?
iPhone is famous for its processor with smoothness but still, it does not support 90 FPS games like BGMI. It is enabled after a few updates but still, these features are disabled on iPhone.
Which phone can play a PUBG mobile at 120 FPS?
For Android devices, 90fps was exclusive to the OnePlus 7 line and newer. For the first few weeks, at least. We expected the setting to make its way to other devices soon, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
The OnePlus devices listed below will still deliver 90fps with no problem, but if you’re looking for a phone from another brand, it’s not good enough to grab anything with a 90Hz or higher display.
With OnePlus Nord absent from the list, it’s safe to assume that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processors seen in this year’s mid-range handsets aren’t part of Tencent’s plans.
If you absolutely must have 90fps, then the OnePlus devices below are your only sure bet.
Here are the major Android phones are known
to support 90fps:
- OnePlus 7 Pro
- OnePlus 7T
- OnePlus 7T Pro
- OnePlus 8
- OnePlus 8 Pro
For Apple fans, there’s only one set of devices capable of physically playing PUBG Mobile at 90fps, and that’s the iPad Pro line. Neither the new iPhone 12, 12 Pro, or iPad Air have the 120Hz “Promotion” display in the iPad Pro tablet.
They’re all your standard 60Hz panels, which means that even though newer devices sport a decidedly stronger chip, the screen can’t refresh more than 60 times per second, which is anything but wasted resources. does not provide.
Even if you see the setting for “90 fps” (which you can, but probably won’t), unless you’re running an iPad Pro with Promotion Display, only noticeable The difference you will see is less battery life and more heat generation.
At least the second crunch will keep your target hands nice and warm in the winter months ahead.
- iPad Pro 11-inch (2018, 3rd Generation)
- iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018, 3rd Generation
- iPad Pro 11-inch (2020, 4th Generation
- iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2020, 4th Generation)
The phone with Snapdragon 888 and 870 is capable of running PUBG Mobile at 120 fps. Also, the latest iPhone is pub mobile and capable of 120 fps but iPhone has a 60 Hz display so more than 60 fps cannot be experienced on iPhone. And pubg mobile global version does not support 120 fps.
The global version has a maximum 90fps setting. If you want to experience 120 fps in pubg mobile, then you can try the china version of pubg mobile which is a peace game.
Can I run PUBG Mobile at 90fps on a OnePlus Nord?
As far as I know, you can’t play PUBG at 90 FPS, however, you can play it at 60 FPS, which is good as most phones can play it in HDR graphics and Ultra FPS (30 FPS) and Nord would be able. Play it at Extreme FPS (60 FPS).
The statement may not be true as it has been confirmed that Nord will play PUBG Mobile in 60 FPS, but it may not show the option of Extreme, which is fine because the iPhone plays it in 60 FPS and does not show ‘Extreme’ FPS is an option.
Can I play PUBG on OnePlus 7Pro at 90fps?
90Hz Vs 90FPS
Okay, before we get into the details, allow me to clarify the difference between 90FPS and 90Hz. When you talk of a 90Hz display, it means that the content of the panel is refreshed 90 times in a second.
This gives it the ability to display up to 90 frames per second. This brings me to 90FPS games. When you say that the game runs at 90FPS, it means that the game is rendering at 90 frames per second. Now, there is a difference between rendering and displaying.
If your display is 60Hz, your games may still run at 90FPS, but you’ll only see 60 frames per second because that’s a limitation of your hardware.
However, if your game itself is rendering at 60FPS, then having a 90Hz display won’t matter, as the content to be delivered is still only at 60FPS. And that latter part, my friends, is what is happening on the OnePlus 7 Pro.
90Hz display but not 90fps gaming
You see, to use the high refresh rate display, the game needs to unlock its frame rate. While most people think it is, there is more to it.
Despite having support for higher frames, device manufacturers can still limit the frame rates of applications. In the case of the OnePlus 7 Pro, all titles seem to have a 60fps cap. And no, I’m not talking about standard games here.
I’m referring to unlocked games with higher FPS caps, such as Pokemon Go, Mortal Kombat, Golf Clash, and FZ 9 Time shift.
