10 anime to watch if you like Black Clover

Yuki Tabata’s Black Clover has become one of the most popular new-gen anime and manga series yet to be released. The series is an international hit, with anime fans around the world singing the praises of Black Clover.

Black Clover is set in a world where magic is abundant and used by almost everyone. However, the protagonist Asta is an exception, who causes a problem with his dream of becoming the Sorcerer King, who is recognized as the kingdom’s strongest mage.

1. Soul Eater

As a demon scythe, Soul Eater Evans wants nothing more than to become a Death Scythe. To do so, he gains admission into the highly prestigious Death Weapon Mister Academy and finds the perfect partner at Maca Albarn. Akademi is best known for making Death Scythes, while Maka seeks to create the most powerful weapon in existence.

The carefree young boy soon realizes that things are not as easy as he thought. Being a death scythe is hard work, but his friends at the academy make his stay a whole lot easier. Together, they do multiple jobs together that include killing monsters and hunting monsters, all while balancing their studies and graduation.

2. Demon Slayer

After losing his father, Tanjiro becomes the sole earning member of his family. One day when he returned home from work, he found his mother dead and his sister turned into a half-demon. He quickly guesses that a demon is responsible for this destruction, causing him to be consumed with hatred and anger towards his own kind.

Swearing in revenge, young Tanjiro embarks on the very difficult path of becoming a demon slayer, while being a good brother to his younger sister, Nezuko.

3. Berserk

Young Guts has a gruesome fate ahead of him. Destined for nothing more than death and bloodshed, he embarks on a perilous journey to find a man who has betrayed him – his friend turned enemy. He sleeps better with his Blade Dragonslayer, knowing he can kill anyone who crosses his path.

Throughout his journey, Guts kills many demons, but he also makes some friends, including a thief and an elf. Together, the three of them face dangers that neither of them has experienced before.

4. Demon Slayer 

The series follows teenage Tanjiro Kamado, who supports his family and provides them with a peaceful life after his father passes away. However, one day when he decides to go to the village to sell charcoal, he is late and has to stay at a stranger’s house. He learns about the evil demons who lurk in the night from their host’s stay.

The next day he finds his family murdered, and the sole survivor, his sister, turns into a bloodthirsty demon. Tanjiro vows to protect his sister and put an end to evil with the help of a group called the Demon Slayer Corps. A film titled Demon Slayer: Mugen Train (2020) picks up the story after the anime series and focuses on the “Mugen Train” arc from the manga comics.

5. Konjiki no Gash Bell!! (2003)

If you love watching ‘Black Clover’ and want to invest your time in something similar, then you will definitely love ‘Konjiki no Gush Bell!!’ Must see. In the fictional world of the anime, demons must find human masters on Earth and fight other monsters until only one comes out as the true winner.

Takamine Kiyomaro is an ordinary man who doesn’t care about the world, but when Gush, a little demon, suddenly comes into his care, his life changes for the better. He learns the value of friendship and takes care of Gush as his master as the latter engages in various battles. All episodes are available on Crunchyroll.
