Assassin’s Creed brought the stealth genre to new plateaus, proving that assassins can hide in broad daylight. The elusive assassin acts as the main character of the game.
While the original Assassin’s Creed was an action-adventure stealth game, the series later shifted to an RPG (role-playing game). More RPG elements means additional storylines as part of the immersive quests.
Entertaining story takes place in best assassin’s creed game. Those with weak narratives are considered subpar entries in the series. An all-round masterpiece means an Assassin’s Creed game has exciting side quests to complement the main story. These are the best examples of them.
1. Assassin’s Creed Rogue
Assassin’s Creed Pirates has been overshadowed by Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, mainly because of its story. Many criticize Assassin’s Creed Rogue for having poor gameplay mechanics to boot.
The story alone sticks like a sore throat. Black Flag’s Edward Kenway is more interesting than Shay Cormack. His reasoning behind his betrayal and the series of murders that follows is confusing. The novelty of playing as a Templar for the first time soon wears off.
Rogue’s historical story (for a video game) was somehow too long. Players are fine with losing some of their favorite characters to a traitor, but Cormack wasn’t a compelling enough character for the fan base to accept these deaths.
2. Assassin’s Creed III
Assassin’s Creed III’s open-world design was fun at times, but it was a disappointment with regard to the story. The game forces players to go through a lengthy tutorial lasting around seven hours. It takes place during the American Revolutionary War in the 1700s. This part of the story is quite fascinating, especially when it comes to meeting some historical figures from the series.
It’s really outside of Animus where the game suffers. Without revealing too many spoilers, one of the game’s major characters changes allegiance to poor logic at the last second and players get no input on this humanity-destroying mistake. When faced with two bad choices, players see the greatest evil.
3. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood The game picks up where the previous games left off. Desmond, Lucy, Rebecca and the rest of the gang set up camp in the ruins of Villa Auditore. Once they are safe in hiding from the Templars, Desmond returns to living the life of Ezio.
Ezio’s story goes back to 1499 when he breaks out of the vault. Ezio then returns home with his uncle Mario (Fred Tatasior), only to find Mario killed by Cesare. Cesare takes on Apple for itself and Templar.
After the loss of his uncle, Ezio is determined to restore Rome to its former glory by killing key players in Cesare’s event and sabotaging its resources. Ezio eventually retrieves Apple and hides it. When Desmond awakens, he is able to retrieve the apple from what he has learned from Ezio’s memories.
4. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
You’d think that Desmond’s death would be the end of Absargo using him for information about his ancestors, but that’s not the case. They take samples from Desmond’s corpse which allows them to continue searching for Animus’s memories using his cloud computing abilities. Absurjo then hires someone who can see the memories and re-live the life of Edward Kenway.
Edward Kenway was an 18th-century pirate and was Conner’s grandfather from the previous game. He uncovers a conspiracy between the Templars in the British and Spanish Empires.
They use their position of power to signify the sage. Sage is the only person who can take them to the observatory, a first civilization tool that can be used to spy on anyone anywhere.
By accidentally killing Duncan, Edward is pushed into a Templar-killer society.
5. Assassin’s Creed Identity
Assassin’s Creed Identity launched on iOS with an RPG spin, intended to be more like a full-blooded console release. Set in the Italian Renaissance, Identity attempts to recreate the series’ signature sneaking-and-stabbing gameplay shrunken to short sessions. Ezio has been disassembled for custom-made characters, each brought to life using an amazing Italian name generator.
Sadly, you’ll probably spend more time messing with him than in the actual game. It’s a free-to-play affair that sends you to eliminate a guy / collect this artifact / escort this guy in exchange for skill points, which you can spend on outfits, equipment and move-sets.
The clunky controls result in a lot of rushing rather than climbing walls, but at least you won’t have to avoid the usual swarms of civilians – the streets are barely any, which means it relies on flat textures and boxy buildings. Is. Create an environment.
