There are some beautiful titles on the horizon for 2022 that will show just how powerful the next generation of consoles are. And some of the newly planned releases are so demanding that they can only be played well enough on high-end PCs. Graphic styles refer to the various visual aesthetics that are visible to the player, as well as the presentational content of the game world.
Many different methods have been used to visualize game content throughout history, and game designers and artists have used these techniques to achieve various visual effects. One can only assume that these styles will improve only in the near future.
1. Microsoft Flight Simulator
Beyond its impeccable graphics and its excellent peripheral support, it won’t take you long to realize that Microsoft Flight Simulator is a labor of love. There’s a great attention to detail here, as well as a level of realism and immersion you won’t find anywhere else. So much so that if you’re not a fan of flight simulation, you’ll want to start getting on the bandwagon.
However, this also means that this game will not be for everyone. Still, if you’re a flight sim fan or a fan of planes and flying, you’ll love the chance to fly iconic vehicles in some of the most beautiful yet dangerous locations and conditions in the world.
2. Forspoken
Square Enix has a new IP coming out this year called Forespoken. It’s an action RPG we’re still waiting to see more footage of. But, from what we have seen so far, we are looking forward to playing the game once it is released in the market. The game is based around a young woman named Frey who finds herself transported from New York City to a strange alien world.
Now, Frey is forced to find a means to survive on a hostile planet while on her way back home. So far, the footage shown has Frey running fast through different countries, so we’re hoping for a fast-paced action RPG experience, but for now, it looks like we’ll be getting our hands on the game this May. Will hold hands
3. Doom Eternal
Doom has finally made it to Earth and the planet is filled with all kinds of demonic hordes that need to be killed. Your mission is to mash. We smashed, torn and dashed our way through Doom Eternal and found it to be a whole lot of frantic fun. You know what you’re getting with Doom and the latest outing is a highly polished, visceral thrill-ride of monster-slaying chaos.
Doom Eternal is the perfect choice if you like to play your shooters at full-tilt. It’s intense, fun, and oh-so-satisfying too. Although certainly not for the youth.
4. Half-Life Alyx
After more than a decade, Valve finally returned to the Half-Life franchise, albeit with a prequel/sequel rather than a proper third entry. Beyond that, Half-Life: Alix is a VR game, designed to get people probably interested in Valve’s Index headset. Leaving players behind in City 17, Alex not only serves as a showcase of VR technology, but also a proper, substantial addition to the beloved series.
Half-Life: Alex features arguably the most detailed world in gaming history, and, thanks to virtual reality, one of the most immersive. While most of the game takes place in brilliantly designed environments and underground areas full of enemies, Half-Life: Alix’s presentation takes it to another level whenever the story surfaces.
5. Dishonored 2
Just when you thought things had ended happily ever after for former Royal Protector Corvo Attano, Dishonored 2 pops up for anything to show. The sequel to the critically acclaimed first-person action-adventure stealth brings us back to Corvo 15 years after the events of the first game.
A celebration for the late Queen Jessamine, hosted by Etano and the queen’s daughter Emily Kaldwin, is interrupted by the witch Delilah Copperspoon, who claims to be the rightful heir to the Dunwall throne. Chaos erupts as a successful coup erupts and it’s up to you (Emily or Corvo) to play as you want to correct mistakes and save the kingdom.
